Acceptance at the Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival

I’m pleased to announce that I’ve been accepted into the Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival in Reston, VA. The show runs Friday, May 16 – Sunday, May 18, 2014. This will be the second year I’ve participated in this show and I’m looking forward to it–especially since it’s practically in my backyard!

I have a busy show schedule this winter and spring, starting with my dual show at Katie’s Coffee House in Great Falls, VA with fellow artist Jennifer Duncan. “Shared Colors” is up until the end of next week, so if you haven’t gotten a chance to stop by and see it, there’s still time. Katie’s is located at 760 Walker Road.

Hopscotch, at left, is one of my newest pieces that you’ll see at the Katie’s exhibit. It’s 24″ square and is mounted on black painted canvas so it stands out from the wall, and hangs from a wire in the back just like a picture.

Next month is the Baltimore Craft Show February 21-23 at the Baltimore Convention Center. Click on the link for more information and to get advance tickets. I’m in Booth 4219.

In March I travel to Atlanta for the Atlanta Craft Show, also put on by the American Craft Council. This is my first time at that show, which runs from March 14-16 at the Cobb Galleria in Atlanta. It’s much smaller than the Baltimore show–“only” 225 artists instead of the 650 that will be at Baltimore! Still, I’m sure there will be lots of art to suit every taste and budget.

In April, I’ll be back in Boston at the Craftboston Spring show–one of my favorites! The show is in a new location this year–at the Cyclorama at the Boston Center for the Arts, 539 Tremont St.–and will be open April 4-6.
