Booth at Art in the High Desert 2015

Art in the High Desert Booth 2015 Cindy Grisdela

I’m all set up and ready to go for the Art in the High Desert show in Bend, OR this weekend. The banks of the Deschutes River in the Old Mill District have been transformed into an outdoor art gallery as over 100 artists from all over the country set up their booths yesterday to display their unique creations.

The show opens today and runs through Sunday August 30. Hours are 10-6 today and Saturday, and 10-4 Sunday.

I’ll be in Booth 69 and I’d love to see you if you have a chance to stop by–I have some new work to share with you!

Art in the High Desert is one of the top shows in the country, and definitely one of my favorites. It’s also one of  the most beautiful venues I participate in. It’s well worth a trip if you haven’t been before. There will be over 100 artists showing work in a variety of media—from painting to photography, jewelry to pottery, sculpture and furniture to decorative fiber. It’s a great opportunity to get a window into the worlds of some exciting artists, and I’m honored to be part of it.

I had shipped my panels and my tent last week and they made it here early in the week, so there was no problem getting everything set up yesterday–unlike last year when shipping delays caused major headaches! This is my third year doing this show, so hopefully I’m getting the wrinkles ironed out. If you’ve been following me on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter, I’ve been posting process photos of two of my new pieces for the last week or so. I got them finished and they’re ready to make their debut.

I was impressed with the quality of the work I saw yesterday as everyone was setting up, and I’m looking forward to seeing all the booths finished and ready to receive art lovers today!
