Today is the last day for the Baltimore Craft Show! It’s been a really high energy show for me and I’ve had a great time meeting lots of new people and talking about my work. And several pieces have gone to new homes, which is always fun.

At left is an image of the “small works” wall in my booth, plus “Blue Totem” which is finished and shown for the first time at this show. I wrote about it in process here if you’d like to read more. These small pieces are great for adding a splash of color and texture to a small space. They range in size from 8″ x 8″ to 16″ x 20″ and most are mounted on painted black canvas with a wire on the back so they are easy to hang.

The show runs from 11 AM – 5 PM today at the Baltimore Convention Center

locatedĀ at One West Pratt St. There are 650 artists to see, each with his or her own creativity on display. I’m so impressed that even though there are six or seven artists who make fiber art for the wall in the show, each is very different from the others. It’s interesting to see the range of what artists are doing just in that one medium–then multiply that by all the other art forms, from jewelry to ceramics to clothing to furniture and more, and you have a feast for the eyes!

As an example of the high energy at the show, at right is an image of the bollards in front of the Convention Center covered in colorful yarn, known as “yarn bombing.” It’s a fun entrance to the show.

I’m in Booth 4219, which is to the left as you enter the show on the side wall. I’d love to see you if you have a chance to stop by!
