Hopscotch

Hopscotch started out as an experiment. I wanted to make a square piece that used angled stripe blocks in warm autumn colors of forest green, cranberry, gold, dusky blue and purple. When I put the blocks up on the design wall in my studio, they looked fine, but seemed to need something else to make them really interesting. “What If” is my favorite question to ask when I’m designing. I happened to spot some circle blocks left over from another project and asked “what if” I combine the circle blocks with the angled stripes? Hopscotch was born.
