Cindy Grisdela - 2010 Annmarie Garden Artsfest
I had a great weekend at the 2010 Artsfest at Annmarie Garden in Solomons, MD.–the weather was gorgeous, my tent was in the shade and I met lots of wonderful people who love art!
I’d never done this show before, and it was my first two-day outdoor event as well. It was very well organized from the artist perspective–the staff was friendly and helpful and I met some interesting new artists too. Two of my neighbors even helped me put up the tent when it didn’t want to cooperate with me.
My booth was very colorful and seemed to draw people in–it was like inviting them into my world. Because the show was outside my usual exhibiting area, most people had never seen my work before and it was fun to meet a whole new audience!
My next event is the McLean Project for the Arts Artfest in McLean, VA on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010. The show is free and runs from 10:30 AM – 4:30 PM this year.
