I’m thrilled to announce I’ve been accepted to the Craftboston Spring Show, which will be held March 23-25, 2012 at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, MA!
This is a big show, with 200 artists in a variety of media, from ceramics to furniture, jewelry to glass. I’ll be in the decorative fiber category.
I’m excited and nervous about it all at the same time! The website says “Craftboston is New England’s premiere exhibition and sale of contemporary craft, art and design.” Wow.
Thanks to my “30 Days” project, I have plenty of work to show, but I can’t help thinking maybe I should do a little more of this or a little more of that . . .I can’t get too spun up about it because I have two local shows coming up in December that I have to focus on first, but it’s going to be fun to think about what I can do after the holidays–maybe a new line of pillows or scarves so shoppers have more of a choice? It’s a great problem to have!
I’ll keep you posted.
Pictured is “Marble Maze” from my “30 Days” project. I had a difficult time deciding what kind of lines would show up best on this one, so I used quite a variety. Right click on the photo to see the stitching more clearly. I really like the spirals in the middle purple rectangles–they remind me of marbles rolling in a maze! Mark your calendars for the “3 Days with the Artists” show the first weekend in December and the Great Falls Studios Holiday Show Dec. 10-11.
