Red Zinnia is an exploration of rhythm, color, and line. At the center, a small improvisational block anchors the composition. It represents the unpredictable heart of nature, where colors collide and structure loosens into play.

Each section of the piece is intentionally distinct, yet connected through the continuous flow of stitched spirals, fans, and square stippled lines.

This work celebrates the tactile joy of quilting—the texture of layered fabric, the meditative pull of the needle, and the expressive possibilities that emerge when traditional forms are approached with curiosity.

Size: 12″ x 16″ mounted on painted black canvas with a wire on the back for easy hanging.

I create all my work in my studio overlooking a lake in Reston, VA. Each wall hanging is quilted individually using my domestic home sewing machine. The designs are stitched freehand, with no marking ahead of time and no computer program, just me drawing the designs in my head with the machine’s needle and thread.

Care: Avoid hanging in direct sunlight. To remove dust, brush lightly with a lint roller.

Return policy: Enjoy your new piece in your home or office. If it doesn’t suit your space, let me know and return it to me at your expense within seven days of receipt and I will refund the purchase price.
