I’ve just been notified that the Craftboston Spring show is still on for this weekend.
Like so many others, I was horrified by the tragedy at the Boston Marathon yesterday and my heart goes out to all those who were injured or lost loved ones there at the race. Marathons are a special experience–I ran one many years ago and was a spectator often as my husband and father ran them regularly for a number of years. I can’t imagine why someone would target an event like this, but I know that’s just me being naive about the world.
Although I have mixed feelings about going to the show, I’m finishing up the pieces I’ve been working on today and packing up my car to make the trip. I’ve got some new work that I’m excited to exhibit and a whole new display system that I’ll be using for the first time. I don’t want the bad guys to win by making me afraid.
I’ll be in Booth 236 at the show, located at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston and open Friday and Saturday from 10-6 and Sunday from 11-5. I’d love to see you there!
If you “Like” the Society of Arts and Crafts, who sponsors the show, on Facebook here you may be able to download a coupon for a discounted ticket. They also posted a nice writeup about my work yesterday.
