I’m busy getting ready for the Annapolis Arts and Crafts Festival next Saturday and Sunday June 8-9 at the Navy – Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, MD. I’ll be in Booth D-3 and you can click on the link above for complete information.
The juried show features the work of 200 artists, including painters, sculptors,
jewelers, potters, photographers, and of course, fiber artists.
I’ll have colorful wall hangings, including Tides shown mounted on stretched canvas, plus table runners, pillows, journal covers and eyeglass cases perfect for a special gift, or maybe something for yourself! Remember journal covers and pillows make great gifts for the new graduate in your life.
I’m excited about these pieces, like Tides, that I’ve mounted on stretched canvas. They’re smaller–Tides is 20″ x 16″–and the canvas allows them to have a little more presence for the wall. I’ll have others that range from 8″ x 8″ to 12″ x 12″
and are just the right size to brighten up a small space in your home or office. They’re a good complement to my larger pieces, which I’ll have plenty to show as well!
Hours are Saturday 10 AM – 6 PM and Sunday 10 AM – 5 PM. Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for kids 12-18, and free for kids under 12. There will be food, music and activities for all ages, plus wine tastings from 25 Maryland wineries (wine ticket is $30.)
Directions: take Rt. 50 to Annapolis, take exit 24 (Rowe Blvd) and make the second right onto Taylor Ave. to the entrance at Gate 5.
Annapolis itself is a charming city, well known for its colonial history, sailing culture and downtown shopping. Come and make a day of it–I hope to see you there!
