It’s an early setup today at the Arlington Festival of the Arts! I’ll be in Booth #8 for the show, probably near the beginning.
The show is located at N. Highland St. and Washington Blvd. in Arlington, VA, near the Clarendon Metro station. Hours are 10-5 today, April 18 and 10-5 Sunday, April 19.
At left is “Terracotta Layers,” one of my new pieces for the show. It’s 24″ x 12″ mounted on a canvas painted black. Just the perfect size for adding a splash of color to a narrow wall!
“Terracotta” is part of a series I’ve been exploring using improvisational blocks and strips combined with curved lines. The stitching emphasizes the lines, with layers of pebbles adding complexity.
It looks like it will be a beautiful spring day and I hope to see you in Arlington!
Good luck with the show!
I like the new piece. Hope you have a good show.
