Today was a banner day at the American Fine Craft Show in Hartford, CT! Ten pieces went to new homes, including Northern Lights and Promenade.
I’m humbled and grateful that several people who had purchased work from me at this show last year returned this year to add to their collections. It’s an unbelievable feeling when someone says to me, as they did today–“your work has given me joy.” I can’t think of a better reason to do what I do than to be able to give joy to others through my art.
As always, it’s been fun to meet new people–both other artists and visitors to the show–and spend the last two days talking about art and artists.
The show is open tomorrow from 10-5 at the XL Center in downtown Hartford, and we would love to see you if you’re in the area! I’m in Booth 160.
And don’t miss Kari Lonnig in Booth 100, who makes beautiful baskets, Shauna Blythe Burke in Booth 150, an amazing jeweler, Rich Carson in Booth 157 who creates art out of reclaimed barn wood, Anita Roelz of Circle Stone Design in Booth 158 who designs jewelry out of metal and stone, and ceramist Jared Jaffe in Booth 159.
