It’s Day Three of the blog tour for my new book, Artful Improv: Explore Color Recipes, Building Blocks & Free Motion Quilting, and today’s featured blogger is my friend Rayna Gillman, artist, teacher, and author of Create Your Own Free Form Quilts, also from C&T Publishing.
I’ve been a fan of Rayna’s work for a long time, and I met her in person a couple of years ago when she came into my booth at the Palm Beach Fine Craft Show in Florida. I’m so happy she agreed to be part of the blog tour, and honored that she found inspiration in the book. You can read her review of Artful Improv at http://studio78notes.blogspot.com/2016/10/i-just-read-delicious-new-book.html If you add a comment, you’ll be entered to win a copy of Artful Improv!
Each weekday until Wednesday, October 19, you can visit a new blog and get a different perspective on Artful Improv. If you leave a comment on the blog, you will be entered to win a copy of the book, generously donated by C&T Publishing. US winners will receive a hard copy, and international winners will get the eBook.
The winners won’t be chosen until after the Tour is over on October 19, so even if you miss a day, you can go back and comment.
I’m very grateful to these talented artists who are participating in the Tour and helping me get the word out about my new book!
Here’s the full schedule:
I am anxiously awaiting my copy’s arrival — I love your work and am eager to have the book in my hands and in my studio!
Thanks Julie–it should be available very soon!
It is so much fun to see the range of color combos in your quilts!
Thanks Diane–color is almost always the starting point for me! There’s always something new to explore.
What a lovely book. Congratulations on a successful compilation of tips, time well spent and so many beautiful quilts shared within its pages. I can’t wait to physically see it in my own hands, lol.
It’s nice to see your work and FYI: a lady at our guild spoke highly of it and she’s chairing the modern challenge this year. She showcased your book last night after just receiving it. How synchronistic!
Again, congratulations and thank you for sharing your talents and inspiring the masses.
Thank you so much, Jane! I hope you’ll enjoy the book and I’m so glad it’s being shared!
