I’ll be teaching two classes and giving a lecture at Road to California’s virtual event, [email protected], January 21-23, 2021.
My popular Playing with Colors lecture is scheduled for Thursday, January 21 at 2:30 PM PST. You’ll learn about my favorite color recipes and how to use them to handle color more effectively in your quilts, and how to bend the color guidelines to make your quilts more interesting.

On Friday, January 22, 2021, join me for my Mini Improv Puzzle quilt class. In this 3 hour class, we will create Improv Log Cabin blocks in a variety of sizes and put them together like a puzzle. Students may also choose to include orphan blocks or leftovers from other projects. We will discuss color choices and using simple design principles to create an original dynamic composition. Below are examples of 10″ x 20″ wall hangings I’ve made using these techniques. Each quilt will be unique.

On Saturday, January 23, 2021, I’ll teach Fearless Curved Piecing. In this 3 hour class, you’ll learn my technique for creating Improv Curve blocks with single cuts and multiple cuts without the need for pins or templates. Even if you’ve never done curved piecing before, you’ll be confident in no time! You can use solids, or prints, or a combination of the two.

Classes and lectures will be held virtually on Zoom so you can participate in the comfort of your own home.
