It’s been a hectic few days getting ready to go to Bend, Oregon for the Art in the High Desert show this weekend! If you’re on Facebook, be sure and check out their page — just scroll down the photos to see the amazing work that will be shown there Friday – Sunday, August 23-25. I’m excited to be part of it!
I finished the last 12″ x 12″ piece on painted canvas, Meadow, at left. I had a small crisis when it didn’t fit into my suitcase, but decided that my clothes could go in a checked bag and the quilts in the carry on, so it’s packed and ready to go!
I also finished a commission baby quilt and delivered it yesterday. It’s for a little girl and the combination of 30’s reproduction fabrics and a fun print with fairies and flowers seemed appropriate!
And a big surprise was Serendipity going to a new home yesterday from my Etsy shop too! This is such a cheerful, happy piece and will be perfect for a new baby.
All in all, a busy, productive couple of days so far. I’ve packed and repacked at least twice and may need to go over it one more time to make sure I haven’t forgotten anything.
The big thing for today (other than getting to the airport on time) is the new sofa I ordered six months ago is finally supposed to be delivered–I hope it gets here before I have to leave!
Enjoy the last days of summer–fall will be here before we know it. Mark your calendars for the MPA Artfest on Sunday, October 6 and the Great Falls Studios Tenth Anniversary Studio Tour Saturday and Sunday, October 19-20.
And if you’re in the Bend, Oregon area, be sure and stop by Booth 27c at Art in the High Desert–I’d love to see you!
