Award of Excellence at the Downtown Art Festival 2013

I’m thrilled to announce that I won an Award of Excellence at the Downtown Art Festival today in Gainesville, Florida!

Two judges visit every competitive booth during the day to score artists on originality, execution, and overall presentation of their work. At 4 PM, the festival staff and the judges begin visiting the winning booths to present the awards. I was stunned when someone came up to me in my booth around 4:30 to tell me “something wonderful was about to happen!”

I’m very grateful to the Festival and the judges for this recognition. It’s great to have this happen in my hometown.

The show continues tomorrow, Sunday November 17 from 10 AM – 5 PM. I’m in Booth 127 and I’d love to see you if you’re in the area and have a chance to stop by.

      Thanks so much Dorry! I did get a lot of people in the booth as well and met some interesting folks, which is always fun.
