The Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival opens tomorrow, Saturday, May 16 at the Reston Town Center in Reston, VA.
Setup is today and I’m on my way over to put my tent and display panels up. “Wisteria Lane” is one of the new pieces I have ready for the show. I had a terrible time getting a decent photo of it–my photographer will do a better job and I’ll replace the image once I get that one back from him!
“Wisteria” is 12″ x 12″ mounted on a painted black canvas with lots of texture in the stitching. I have fun creating these improvisational blocks that have house shapes suggested in them. Can you see the one in this piece?
The show runs Saturday from 10-6 and Sunday from 10-5. I’ll be in Booth 908 on Library St. and I’d love to see you if you have a chance to stop by!
Visit http://northernvirginiafineartsfestival.org/ for more information about the show. There will be 200 artists in all media–it’s sure to be a treat! Suggested admission $5.
Good luck, Cindy!
I love this piece. The colors are beautiful and oh yes, I do see the house. Hope you have a great show. Keep me posted. Love you!!
