I’m pleased to announce that Aquarius has been juried in to the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival in Hampton, VA later this month.

The show runs from February 27 – March 1, 2020 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center, and I’m planning to go down to see it!

Aquarius was also exhibited at the International Quilt Festival in Houston last year and published in the Curves issue of Curated Quilts magazine. And I’ve been notified that its image will be part of a postcard collection Curated Quilts is putting together for a swag bag at QuiltCon later this month! So exciting.

Aquarius is part of a new series I’m working on exploring free hand cut curves, color, and texture. You can read about its process and inspiration on the blog here.

I also got a notification that Homage to Matisse was juried into a SAQA regional exhibit called Working with the Muse that will run at the Strathmore Mansion in Bethesda, MD February 29 – April 19, 2020. The opening reception is March 5 at 7 PM.

I’m thrilled to share my work at these exhibits and I hope if you’re in the area you’ll stop by to see them. I’ve been entering a lot more exhibits in the past year or so, and while I don’t always get in, it’s fun when I do.

I’ll be part of a local exhibit and reception in Great Falls, VA next Saturday, February 15, 2020,  at the Artists Atelier located at 756 Walker Road on the Village Green. Visit the Atelier website here to see a sneak peak. This show will come down the day after the reception, but my personal exhibit at the Atelier will be on display until the end of the month.
